FAQ

There are several ways to measure your wrist and work out the right bracelet size. Here are the most common:

  1. Tailor's tape measure: wrap a soft tape around your wrist, just below the bone on the underside. Keep it neither too tight nor too loose, then note the measurement in centimeters.
  2. Paper strip or tape: cut a strip about 1 cm wide and long enough to go round, wrap it about your wrist, mark where it meets and measure it with a ruler.
  3. String or thread: wrap a string around your wrist, mark where it meets, then measure its length with a ruler.

Bear in mind that bracelet size can vary with the style and width of the design. If you fall between two sizes, going up is usually the more comfortable choice.

Our rings are given in US sizes, with the circumference in millimeters in brackets — from US 4 (48 mm) to US 13 (67 mm). That figure is simply the circumference of your finger, which makes measuring easy at home:

  1. Paper strip: cut a narrow strip, wrap it around the base of your finger, mark where it meets, then measure its length with a ruler. A circumference of 55 mm is a US 7.
  2. String or thread: the same idea, without pulling tight — the thread should turn freely around your finger.
  3. A ring you already wear: lay it on a ruler, measure its inner diameter in millimeters, then multiply by 3.14 to get the circumference.

Measure late in the day, when fingers are slightly fuller, and check that the ring passes the knuckle. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger.

Solid silver is a living material that can tarnish slightly over time through contact with air, damp or cosmetics. A few simple habits will keep your piece bright:

  • Take your jewelry off before showering, swimming or sleeping.
  • Avoid contact with perfumes, creams and chlorinated products.
  • Store it away from the air in a pouch or closed case, out of direct light.
  • Clean it regularly with a soft dry cloth, or a silver cloth if it has tarnished.

Every ZÄK piece is shaped entirely by hand by our artisans in Taxco, with no automated industrial mold. Slight variations — in texture, polish or the shape of the stones — can therefore exist from one piece to the next.

Far from a flaw, this is the signature of handwork: your piece has no exact equivalent anywhere, which makes it rare and unique, just as you are.
